June Mission Report – Sonia

I was blessed abundantly as God opened an unexpected door for me to come back to Nepal with my friend Carmen. Our goal was to reach Mugu, an unreached area in north-west Nepal. We traveled for four days by plane, bus, jeep, tractor and by foot through breathtaking scenery. But as we walked the valleys and villages we also witnessed the great need of those living there. So many people without a knowledge of Jesus. There were marks of hinduism…

June Mission Report – Carmen

With our small group of 7 we saw close to 400 people. We were 2 health educators; 2 translators; 1 person checking blood pressure, pulse and oxygenation; another checking blood glucose; and one as a receptionist. A nearby school of 2500 students was also wanting us to go there and see the students and parents. But our resources had already finished in the two previous villages. We had to return without giving them a report of what we found out…

June Mission Report – Arjun

Prem Shahi is from Mugu. He is a Pentecostal pastor who has been pastoring the Living God Church in Mugu for a long time. We met Pr. Prem when he went to Kohalpur to visit his parents. We have a S.D.A church near his father’s house and he decided to stop by. Pr. Prem had been told by other pastors that the Adventists were a false church so he had come with this preconceived idea. But then, we made friends…

June Mission Report – Paul

As I was working in my Dad’s shop, deep in my heart I still had the love for the work of the Lord and was praying for God to show me His plans for me. Then one day as Arjun and I were together we started talking about the work and the places that are still unreached. We both then felt a heavy burden in our hearts and we decided to leave everything and go wherever God called us to…

The Beginnings of Much Needed Aid

The Beginnings of Much Needed Aid

After traveling for two and half days by bike and a day on foot we finally reached our destination where there is only one church with four members. Pastor Prem has been working hard for years to spread the gospel but the community seems very closed to Christianity. Mugu is a place where the majority of the people are strict Hindu. Reaching them in any other way than by medical missionary work is very hard. Since Mugu is one of the poorest districts people hardly…
